The books I'm listing below are my personal recommendations. They are all great reads and have managed to touch every emotion that I have. Before anyone reads anything into my words, No, it doesn't mean I'm not personally endorsing the books above. They are all five stars or I would not have put them on this page. The books below came to me when I totally needed a break from writing.

Angelique Justine recommended this book to me over two years ago. I have to say I have not read anything more compelling since that time. I've read many books that I loved, but, The Kite Runner is in a class by itself.

I have about fifty pages left of this book, so I'm including it on this list. Eye of Heaven is not normally the genre I would pick first. I don't even know how I came to have it in my possession. It's a Sci-Fi book about psychic, shape shifters and all kinds of magical beings. I gave myself a one week vacation from work and needed something to read to refill my own creative well. This book more than filled the job. Here's the kicker, it's not just a book for women. I told Bill that he should read this one when I'm done. Well done Marjorie M. Liu !
